In 1987, Boulder County Farmers Markets created an opportunity for local agricultural producers to share their products with the public. Due to its popularity growing over the years, the nonprofit organization opened several other markets in locations like Boulder, Longmont, Denver, and Lafayette. In 2019, USA Today included Boulder County Farmers Markets in their top ten list of the best farmers’ markets in the U.S. along with Aspen Saturday Market located in Aspen, Colorado.
